Delegate Dana Jones Visited Our Office To Talk Adult Education & Donate Books
We met with Delegate Dana Jones at our office in Annapolis in July to discuss our programs and the importance of adult education in Anne Arundel County.
We are grateful for Delegate Jones’s support and her generous donation of children’s books to our September BOOK FAIR!
Delegate Jones runs a book drive every year, and in 2024, she donated books to the Literacy Council, the Sheppard Pratt Omni House facility in Glen Burnie, and, via the Rotary Club of Annapolis, several Little Free Libraries in Annapolis and surrounding areas.

Volunteer to Help Put On Our Book Fair
We’d love to have your help with this important fundraiser. We need volunteers on Thursday and Friday evening, Sept 26 and 27, and many on Saturday the 28th. View opportunities and sign up online. Last year, more than 40 volunteers contributed their time to make the event a success. Friends and family are welcome to help!
Happy late summer! This month’s highlights include information about the upcoming ESL conversation group in Eastport and a new tutor training session in October. We also have great news about support from Delegate Dana Jones and a local author’s fun event that generously donated to our free programs.
We’re collecting gently used books for our BOOK FAIR until the end of this month, 8/31. Email AACLC.bookfair@gmail.com to inquire about drop-off locations. The book fair is at the mall near Discoveries Library on Saturday, September 28.
See how you can sign up to help at the book fair below.
Many thanks for all you do,
Jane
