The Literacy Council has been awarded critical local support for FY25. Grants from the County Executive’s Community Support Grant Program, the City of Annapolis, and Anne Arundel Women Giving Together will help make our free programs possible.
We are grateful for this funding that is essential to our work and mission.
*73 local nonprofits will receive County Executive Community Support Grants.
The Literacy Council was among 125 organizations that applied for funds. $2 million will be distributed among grant recipients. For more information about this program, read the County’s press release.
*The City of Annapolis is backing our mission.
Annapolis also offers a Community Grant Program, and for the first time, the Literacy Council will be a beneficiary. Funds will support our programs for Annapolis residents.
*Anne Arundel Women Giving Together (AAWGT) awarded AACLC an operations grant for the second year in a row.
AAWGT is a women’s giving circle that, since its founding in 2006, has provided more than $1.9 million to nonprofits working to improve the lives of underserved women and children in Anne Arundel County. Learn more about AAWGT and its grant awardees.
