Delmy Torres is one of thirty very grateful AACLC students who received a Thanksgiving meal this year.
Anita Ramundo has been tutoring Delmy since April 2018 and describes her as a dedicated and hard-working mother of four who works two jobs while also studying to improve her reading, math, and English skills. Delmy carries her workbook with her so she can improve her skills when she has free time, and she studies at night when the children are in bed. Delmy’s goal is to qualify for additional training and a better-paying job. Her heartfelt thank you note for the Thanksgiving dinner is shared above.
